About Sayra C Therapy

Meet Sayra Divorce Therapist in Miami Beach, Florida

Hi, I'm Sayra.

A Miami-based therapist offering in-person and virtual therapy across Florida, including South Florida cities like Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding areas. I provide individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, divorce, relationship challenges, burnout, postpartum depression, parenting stress, and major life transitions.

I’ve been in the mental health field since 2007, beginning my career in New York City managing community mental health programs after earning my MSW from Barry University. Early in my work, I learned that people are far more resilient than they realize and often much harder on themselves than they need to be.

My own life experiences, including motherhood, single parenting, and navigating postpartum depression, deepened my understanding of how overwhelming and identity-shifting life transitions can be.

Today, I specialize in helping women and adults in Florida work through divorce recovery, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, burnout, and life transitions with a supportive, direct, and nonjudgmental approach. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-life strategies with space for humor, because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.

Why I'm Not Your Typical Therapist From Miami, Florida.

"I help people understand what is driving their pain, not just manage the symptoms of it. My goal is for you to feel equipped to be your own guide, long after our sessions end."

  • We focus on the 'Why'

Understanding the roots of your behavior makes change feel natural, not forced.

  • Real conversation

Expect a dialogue. I bring my full self to the room, including my humor and humanity.

  • Action-oriented

Insight is great, but integration is where the magic happens. We work on practical steps.

  • Holistic lens

Your mind is connected to your body and your environment. We look at the whole picture.

A Few Fun Facts About Me

  • Japanese food: always, forever, no debate

If I could eat one cuisine for the rest of my life, Japanese would win without hesitation. No contest, no regrets.

  • World traveler raising curious, culture-loving kids

Nothing brings me more joy than traveling the world with my kids and watching their eyes light up as they take in new cultures, people, and places. My goal? Raising humans who know the world is so much bigger than what's in their backyard.

  • Beach reads & live shows: comedy or music, I'm there

My ideal day off involves a good book and sand between my toes, or front row at a live comedy or music show. Either way, I'm fully present and loving every minute.

  • Solo recharge mode: poolside or hot tub, drink in hand

When my kids are with their dad, you can probably find me exactly where I want to be, floating in the pool or soaking in the hot tub, drink in hand, completely unbothered. Recharging looks good on me.

  • Cute top + jeans loyalist: it's a whole vibe

It's my uniform and I own it. Effortless, comfortable, and put-together, a cute top and jeans will always be my go-to. Dresses? Not really my thing, and I'm perfectly at peace with that.

  • Quality over quantity: in friendships and everything else

I keep my circle small and meaningful. A few deep, real connections will always matter more to me than a packed social calendar.
