For women rebuildingDIVORCE THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN FLORIDA
You got through the divorce. Nobody warned you about the Tuesday after.
The paperwork is done. The schedule is set. People have mostly stopped checking on you, because from the outside this looks handled. It does look handled. You handled it, the way you have handled everything since you were about nineteen.
Then it's 8:40 on a Tuesday. The kids are at his place, the dishwasher is running, and the house is doing that thing where it's too quiet to be restful. You pick up your phone and realize there's nobody to tell about your day.

The part nobody warns you aboutWhy it feels harder now than it did during the divorce
During the divorce you had tasks. Documents, calls, decisions, a schedule to hold together, a face to keep on in front of your kids. There was no time to feel much, and that wasn't avoidance. That was competence, and it got you through.
Then it ends. The tasks run out. What's left is a quiet you haven't had in years, with nothing in it to manage.
Most women read that as falling apart. It isn't. It's the bill coming due for holding it together.
the workWhat divorce therapy for women actually looks like
We work in an order, because the order is most of why it works.
Who you are now
Not who you were at twenty-five, and not who you became inside the marriage. An honest look at what you keep tolerating, and what you've been calling a personality trait that's actually a survival strategy.
01
What you inherited, and what you choose
The patterns you learned watching the women in your family. The ones you swore you'd never repeat, and which ones you're running right now anyway.
02
Boundaries you can actually hold
Not scripts. The kind that survive a phone call from your ex on a bad night.
03
Then, eventually, what's next
Dating, work, moving, whatever your version is. Not before the rest. Dating from an unfinished self is how women end up in the same relationship with a different man.
04
who this is forYou don't have to be in crisis to come in
Most of the women I work with aren't. They're getting up, working, parenting, showing up. From the outside, fine. Inside, running on a version of themselves built for a life they're no longer living, and quietly tired of being congratulated for how well they're handling it.
If you've been waiting until things get bad enough to justify the help, that's the thing worth looking at first.
Written for womenThe Sayra C Method is this same sequence, written down.
I built it for the woman who isn't ready to talk to a stranger yet, and for the one who can't make $250 a session work right now.
Forty-seven pages. Five modules. Eight weeks. Thirty days of affirmations for the 2 a.m. spirals. It's written to you, not about you.
Instant download. A self-guided program, written for women rebuilding after divorce. Not therapy, and not a substitute for it.
STRAIGHT ANSWERSDivorce therapy for women in Florida: the questions people actually ask
-
Yes, and it catches almost everyone off guard. While it's happening you're in execution mode, and execution mode is protective. When it ends, the adrenaline goes and the feelings you postponed show up on their own schedule. Feeling worse at month four isn't a sign you made the wrong decision. It usually means you finally have room to feel anything at all.
-
You start by getting specific instead of global. "I wasted fifteen years" is a story. What actually happened is that you built things, learned things, and had experiences inside a relationship that ended. Some of it cost you. Some of it made you who you are, including the parts you like. We separate those out, because carrying it as one undifferentiated loss keeps you defending a decision you already made.

It can help with what's underneath it, which usually isn't the resume. It's the belief that you're behind, unhireable, or starting over at an age when you should be established. I'm not a career coach and I won't pretend to be. What I can do is work on the confidence and identity piece so you can actually make the calls and send the applications instead of rehearsing why it won't work.
-
When you want a partner rather than a rescue. A useful test: can you get through a weekend alone without needing it filled? If being by yourself still feels like something to escape, dating will be about the escaping. There's no required waiting period, and anyone who gives you a number is guessing.

Then you're in good company, and you should know that leaving doesn't exempt you from grief. You can be certain you made the right call and still mourn the life you thought you'd have. Guilt is often grief that hasn't been allowed to be grief, especially when the people around you have decided you don't get to be sad about something you chose.
The rest of your householdYou're not the only one in this
You've probably noticed you're not the only person in the house who's different lately. Here's what I do with the rest of it.

For your teenager, 14 and up
She says she's fine. She's also gotten suddenly very easy, and you can't decide if that's relief or a red flag. I work with teens directly, and with you on what to say before and after the hard conversations.

For him
Not your problem to solve, and also: if he's struggling, some of that lands on your kids and eventually on you. Men usually get here later and with less support around them. If he ever asks, this page exists.

For the logistics of it
Two households, one calendar, and a version of normal nobody explained. Co-parenting, the handoffs, the texts that ruin a Tuesday. Sometimes that's the work, and sometimes it's what makes the rest of the work possible.
Before you talk yourself out of itYou don't have to be falling apart to deserve the help.
You've been the one who handles things for a long time. Fifteen minutes on a call, no cost, and you don't have to arrive with your story organized or a reason that sounds serious enough.
